Michigan is a beautiful state with great parks and fantastic lakes. Surrounded on three sides by water and with consistent precipitation year-round, there is potential for high levels of mold especially in summer. Look at The Weather Channel's mold spore count during August for Michigan.
As a result I have developed asthma living here in Michigan. I live on a watershed which results in mold on the house, drive and fencing. Powerwashing is a must. But I also breath the spores. The winters are cold, which triggers an asthma attack. The summers are hot and humid with higher mold spore count than most areas of the US, which triggers an asthma attack. In a nutshell, it's not an easy place to live for asthmatics. I would look elsewhere.
